her shoes clicked against the floor of the precinct echoing in a way that might make other people self conscious. honestly, she wasn’t a fan of how echoy the halls were, and when she was first transferred here, she was very, VERY aware of every little sound her shoes made, and the eyes that would look over at her when she would just be trying to get to her desk.
it took about a week for her to get used to it. well — week and half if you count the few days she added on after she crashed into one of the officers as she walked through the halls. but now she didn’t mind hearing the tapping of her shoes every morning.
tick-tick-tick-tick-tick.
bobbi made it to her desk, her beautiful morning, isn’t it ?? smile plastered on her face when she saw her partner already there. most of the other detectives here told her she should be more concerned about the fact she was partnered with james barnes, a detective know for his good work but, not as warm and cuddly or easy going as, well — her. she was pretty sure people thought they wouldn’t last as partners.
but bobbi loved proving people wrong, and as time went on, what would seem like a slight clash of personalities between the two complimented each other instead. because at the end of the day, the two were also hard working, focused, driven detectives.
she sat down, putting down the two coffees she stopped to get this morning in front of both of them, and smiled, propping her chin on her hands as she smiled.
❛ morning. ❜
