brief bio about your muse in the psych universe: james buchanan barnes is the ex-military head detective of shield. during his time in the army, he was taken as a pow. not much is known about this time in his life, but it was years before he was able to return to civilian life, joining the force. recently, his girlfriend of many years suffered an accident that caused amnesia and made it impossible for them to be together. he is distrustful and somewhat skeptical of psychic abilities.
