Lance tossed her a sardonic look. “Well, what? We’re waiting for the bloody cab, aren’t we? D’you see it yet? No, neither do I. Brilliant. We’re standing here.”
He zipped his lips decisively and turned away, irritation prickling up along his spine. Bloody hell, it was busy out here - a lot of the world walking by, God knew how many eyes. Hopefully, both in sunglasses as they were, nobody would notice them, Bobbi sloshed and him…there. In public. With her.
So far, they seemed to be in luck. No necks craning in their direction, nobody turning to anybody else and whispering anything. Maybe they weren’t as much of a draw as he expected.
Or maybe just nobody recognized them.
The cab pulled up about thirty seconds later, and Lance opened the rear passenger side door, nodding crisply for Bobbi to get in ahead of him.

the motion of the cab was making her feel sick, so she opened the window and took a few deep breaths, quiet for the whole ride, half asleep already.
when they finally got to the hotel she was staying at, bobbi got out of the cab, stumbling to the doors, somebody — lance or a bellboy, she wasn’t sure — out a hand on her arm to keep her from falling. she made it to the elevator, hit the floor button, and once again felt like throwing up the whole ride up.
she did as soon as she got in her hotel room. she ran to the bathroom and threw up, crying a little as she did. once she cleaned herself up, she stood, and started walking to the bed, barely making eye contact with him. she just wanted to lay down and sleep. she flopped down, half on the bed, her eyes starting to close, mumbling an apology.
He arched an eyebrow, a little incredulous, and glanced down at the time on his phone before his eyes flicked back up to...
S he wasn’t sure how long she was asleep for — it wasn’t a peaceful sleep at all, though. by the time she DID wake up,...
