• shrek one: bad
  • shrek two: the funniest movie i have ever seen. literally one of the funniest comedies of all time. incredible pacing and dialogue. reference jokes that were actually funny. surreal world that was so modern fantasy it actually worked. rocking score. awesome scene set to "i need a hero" being sung by the villain unironically and completely played straight. a bar of villains. just overall the best concepts ever.

[W]e live in a sexually liberal society, not a liberated one. A truly liberated society is one where sex is value-neutral and not having sex is just as acceptable as having a lot of it.

The fact that asexuals are considered weird, sick, abnormal, mentally ill, repressed, etc is a bold indicator that we are not living in a sexually liberated society but in a liberalized one.

my comm teacher acknowledged in a single lecture that
1. Caucasian isn’t synonymous with white
2. genderfluid/gender neutral/agender people exist and need to be respected in psychological testing/surveys (acknowledging that there are more than two genders) and
3. using someone’s preferred pronouns, whatever they are, is way more important than grammar (said by an English teacher)

I feel so at peace
